Rava ladoo OR Suji laddu is another delicious Indian Sweet recipe that is prepared during Indian festivals. This Rava Ladoo tastes delicious with a bit of crunch. These ladoos are very easy to make and a few ingredients required.
Rava ladoo is a popular Maharashtrian recipe Which is Prepared during festivals like Ganesh Chaturthi. Traditionally, This recipe is made with a generous amount of coconut and It tastes really great.
What is ladoo?
Laddu or laddoo (is a sphere-shaped sweet originating from the Indian Cuisine. The name originated from the Sanskrit word Lattika. Laddus are made of flour, fat (ghee/butter/oil), and sugar, with other ingredients that vary by recipe, like chopped nuts or dried raisins.

There are a lot of ladoo variations you get in India. Gujarat is famous for their churma Ladoos. Other Famous Varieties are motichoor ladoos, Coconut ladoos, atta laddoos, chocolate ladoos and many more.
Ingredients used to make rava ladoos
Fine sooji/semolina/rava is the most important ingredient of the recipe. Apart from it, you can use coconut flakes however I am avoiding it. I have used Jaggery here instead of sugar. Ghee is also used to give the binding to ladoos.

How to make rava ladoo?
Dry roast rava and coconut flour and keep aside.
Heat pan.
Add jaggery and ghee together.
Melt jaggery on very low flame. DO NOT TURN THE FLAME HIGH.
Once the jaggery is melted, transfer roasted sooji and coconut into that.
Add cardamom powder and dry fruits.
Mix well.
Cool it down a bit.
When its still warm enough, prepare laddus with your palm.finally, serve rava ladoo / suji laddu once cooled completely or store in airtight container for 2 weeks.

- 1 cup fine semolina/sooji/rava
- ½ cup + 2 tbsp ghee / clarified butter
- ½ cup jaggery, approx [adjust according to your taste]
- ¼ teaspoon cardamom powder
- ½ cup coconut flour /coconut flakes
- ¼ cup dry-fruits, chopped
Instructions
