First and foremost, Take a pan and spray some oil or some butter(just a little bit) on the pan. You can line your pan with parchment paper too. Don't forget to spray oil or butter on the parchment paper too as sometimes, the paper will get stuck on the candy because of the temperature of sugar.
Take a pan and transfer sugar into the pan. Keep the flame low to medium. Do not keep the flame high as sugar will burn quickly.
½ cup sugar
Keep stirring the sugar. Once sugar is melted properly, add baking soda and mix it well.
⅛ teaspoon baking soda
With a spoon or ladle, spread the candy mix evenly on the prepared pan.
