aloo tikki | potato patties
classic north Indian starter recipe made with mashed potatoes.

Ingredients

potatoes
boiled
1
tablespoon
ginger
grated
1
medium
green chily
chopped
salt to taste
½
teaspoon
black pepper powder
¼
teaspoon
chat masala
optional

tablespoon
fresh coriander
chopped [optional]

tbsp
corn flour

tablespoon
corn flour
for dusting
Instructions
take a mixing bowl and mash your potatoes first.
add ginger and chilies.
add black pepper powder.
add salt to taste.
add corn flour.
mix it well.
take a small portion of the mixture and prepare a ball.
give a tikki shape to the ball.
heat butter in pan.
gently place the tikkis.
roast on both side until golden brown.
serve hot.
Notes
skip if you don't have coriander available.
you can add turmeric and red chili powder. I am skipping it because I want my tikkis "white". in case of using, use both in ¼ teaspoon quantity.
