Parathas are traditional breakfast recipe in north region of india and now famouse in other regions too. These parathas are usually served with curd and pickle varieties like mango pickle. Stuffed parathas are one of my favorite recipe in those busy and lazy days as i usually prepare roti dough in bulk stored it fridge.
I am giving full credit behind this aloo cheese paratha recipe to the friend of mr.husband who demanded to have this only in lunch from me.
I don't want to make regular aloo paratha with Just the addition of Cheese 😳 so i have added my own flavors and spices to the recipe. Hope you guys will like it. well, I liked this paratha with restaurant style dal-fry and chana masala.

Recipe cheesy paratha-how to make aloo cheese paratha
Ingredients for stuffing:
- 2 cups Paratha dough (click HERE for recipe reference)
- 1 cup potatoes , boiled & mashed
- salt to taste
- 2 tablespoon red chili paste👇
- 1 teaspoon mix herbs
- 2 tablespoon fresh coriander leaves
- ¼ cup OR 3-4 cubes grated cheese
- 1 small onion , finely chopped
- Ghee OR butter to roast paratha
Ingredients for Dough:
- Whole wheat Flour - 2 cups
- Salt - to taste
- Oil - 2 tsp
- Water as needed [1 cup approx]
- take a bowl and add flour and salt .
- add half amount of oil .
- Add water slowly and prepare soft dough.
- add remaining oil and knead dough well.
- cover with lid and keep it aside.
Method for paratha:
- take a mixing bowl and add potatoes.
- Add red chili powder,mix herbs,salt,coriander leaves and onions.
- Mix it well.
- Add grated cheese and mix well. your stuffing is ready.
- Take a small amount of dough and prepare a ball.
- Prepare chapati first.
- Now, put 1 spoon of stuffing on the center of chapati.
- cover your stuffing with roti and prepare roti again.
- Heat tava.
- gently place paratha on hot tava.
- spread oil/ghee OR butter on both side of partha.
- roast it on medium flame until golden brown.
- serve hot.
Notes:
- red chili paste is nothing but a fresh red chilies crushed with 1 teaspoon oil and 1 teaspoon water.
- you can mozerella cheese as well. However i am using simple amul cheese cubes.
