of asafoetida

onions

curry leaves

mix vegetables,chopped
carrots, peas,brinjals

water
to boil vegetables

tablespoon
tamarind
soaked for 45 mins

tablespoon
jaggery
salt to taste

tablespoon
red chili powder

teaspoon
turmeric powder

Instructions
first,take all your lentils and wash it in running water.
transfer to a pressure cooker.
add water and pressure cook it for 4-5 whistles.
keep aside.
heat oil.
add mustard seeds.
when they crackle ,add urad dal.
add cumin and asafoetida.
add curry leaves, green chilies and dry red chili.
add onions and saute.
add mix vegetables.
add tamarind.
add water.
add jaggery and mix.
cook until the vegetables are softened.
add salt to taste.
add turmeric and red chili powder.
add
sambar powder
.
add cooked rice and mix.
add water and cook until mushy.
enjoy.
