South indian mixed vegetable sambar recipe with step by step photos - Sambar is very important part of south indian meal .Sambar is nothing but a hot and spicy lentil soup with mixed vegetables. It is a accompaniment for signature south indian recipes like idli and dosa, medu vada and rice. sambar is known as "Sambaru " in karnataka , "kuzhambu" in Tamilnadu and "sambar" in rest of the indian region.

The recipe i am going to share today is very easy and my mumma's version.Traditional sambar recipe have tamarind or kokum for sourness which i am avoiding it.

I have used mixed vegetables like brinjals, potatoes, carrot, green peas and drumstick here with onion and tomatoes.
I have cook both lentil and vegetable separately. i have also used homemade sambar powder here. if you don't have homemade powder then i suggest to go for Everest sambar masala.
