Easy Besan Ladoo Recipe with step by step photos
Besan Ladoo is very easy recipe. Besan laddu is very famous recipe made in most of the indian houses during diwali Or any other festivals. Janmashtami is coming next week and in my home, Besan ladoo OR Gram flour Subcontinents are must. The version i am sharing today is very common and easy in which gram flour is roasted in ghee/Clarified butter.

I am a foodie person and at same time i am bit moody when it comes to cooking. I Cook best when i am in fantastic mood. But i make disaster when i feel laziness.:( I never took any interest when my mom used to make these besan laddus during festive occasion. But After developing a blog, I started enjoying,I started exploring recipes, I started asking my mom about our traditional recipes. :)

Those who don't know what Laddus are,Laddu or laddoo are ball-shaped sweets popular in the Indian Subcontinent. Laddus are made of flour, minced dough and sugar with other ingredients that vary by recipe. They are often served at festive or religious occasions.

I tried this simple recipe at initial. There are mainly 3 methods of making besan Ladoos. The method i am going to share today is very easy and perfect method for beginners.
In this method, Gram flour is roasted first in clarified butter OR Ghee until nutty flavor.sugar and other ingredients are added afterwards.I am not Adding Any dryfruits in these laddu because i like it plain. You can add chopped almonds and cashews according to your liking.

While making besan ladoo,It is very important to roast gram flour/Besan properly otherwise you will not like the raw taste of gram flour.

  1. First prepare powder sugar if it is not ready.

  11. Take some portion of mixture on your hands and start making balls.
  12. Keep the balls aside and garnish with dry fruits if you wish.
  13. Store in air tight container.
  • I don't like much Ghee in my recipes so i am using necessary amount of Ghee only. You can add upto 1/2 cup ghee .
  • As pictures explains, My mixture is little bit dry because of the amount of ghee. But I couldn't find any Issue while making balls. It works best for me.
