Schezwan Idli from leftover idli-Step by step photos
Most of the time i repeat left over idli with sambar for next day.But i like many variations of Left-over idli recipes like fried idli,tava idli,masala idli etc..I don't have any idea of making Chinese version of leftover-idli until i tasted this version once at one of my friend's restaurant. I just got crazy after tasting schezwan veggies and idli combo.

I am sharing my attempt today.I think "Schezwan Idli" is best snack recipe for kids as now a days, Kids are drooling for chinese.
I have used ready-made schezwan sauce here. hope your kiddo will like this recipe.

  Schezwan Idli Recipe-how to make Leftover schezwan idli

Prep Time :10  min
Cook Time :10 min
Total Time :20 min
Main Ingredient :Leftover Idli
Serves :2
Cuisine :Fusion

  • 12 pcs - left over idlis
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tbsp Oil
  • 3 tbsp Schezwan Sauce*
  • 1/4 cup green cabbage,chopped/sliced
  • 1/4 cup capsicum ,chopped
    1. Cut your idlis .Cut your vegetables well.
    2. Heat Oil in pan.
    3. Add cabbage and capsicum and saute it for a while.
    4. Add a pinch of salt and schezwan sauce.
    5. Mix them well.
    6. Add idli pieces and mix well.
    7. Serve hot.
      • you can add as many vegetables as per your liking.
      • Be careful about salt as schezwan sauce also contains some salt.
