Mango pickle recipe with step by step photos
As name suggest, This is an instant mango pickle recipe which is very easy and quick to make. Bachelors you do not have to worry about pickles.
This is a season of pickles and masalas. My mom and MIL already prepared regular masalas like red chili powder,asafoetida, turmeric powder and some achars like gorkeri,chunda etc. These are the recipes which remains fresh for a year.

I am not brilliant in making achar specially traditional achar which can be store for a year.however I LOVE pickles in my meal so that I always prefer some easy and instant achar recipes.
I have shared my previous gujarati chili pickle recipe and I have got such a great response from you guys. Here is another one. 
I have some remaining Mustard powder so i decided to make most from it. I have also Add roasted fenugreek powder here which enhance the taste of the pickle.

This instant mango/keri achar will remain fresh for a week when it store in room temperature but when you store in refrigerator, This easy mango char will remain fresh for a month atleast.

Prep Time :15 min
Cook Time :5 min
Total Time :20 min
Main Ingredient : Raw Mango
Serves :nill
Cuisine : Indian,Andhra

  • 1 medium piece Raw mango
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil 1/2 cup
  • 3 tbsp -Yellow mustard powder/Rai dal/ Rai na kuria
  • 2 tbsp- Fenugreek Seeds
  • 1 tbsp- Red chili powder
  • 1 tbsp - coriander powder
  • 1/4 tsp - Asafoetida
    1. Take a pan and roast fenugreek seeds until it leaves its aroma OR light brown.
    2. Make a fine powder of fenugreek seeds.
    3. chop your raw mango into medium pieces.
    4. Take a mixing bowl
    5. Add mustard powder,fenugreek powder,salt,red chili powder and coriander powder.Mix all spices well.
    6. Add oil.
    7. Add mango chunks and mix them well.
    8. Store this Pickle in Glass jar OR air tight container.
    9. Serve as Required.
      • Store this pickle in refrigerator so that it can remain fresh for a month at least.
      • This pickle taste best after 24 hours but you can have immediately as well.
      • if you don't find powdered mustard at store,follow this recipe-
        •  Roast your regular mustard on tava or pan for 5 min.
        • spread them on chopping board.
        • crush them using rolling pin/wooden roller or roti belan.
        • you will get fine powder of mustard .use this in recipe.
