Hey foodies ,
Seems like its beeennnn a loongg time i did not post any thing here,I don't know why!!!May be because I can not live with out blogging .It has become my addiction.:p .I was thinking to post daily on this place and currently working on it. Let just hoping for best now.

Currently i am trying my hand on South Indian cuisine.I am trying lot of recipes these days and one of them i want to share today-Classic Tomato Rice.I remember my last post on some south indian recipe is Red paste for maysoor masala dosai. It's been a long time i did not post any south indian recipes.

Actually i have read so many recipe post on tomato rice and as you know i am a huge fan of rice dishes i decided to give a try.It come out so well. I am in love with this South indian tomato know what south indians use "Bath" for any rice dishes and we gujrati pronounced "Bhat". Both pronunciation are very similar.

Tomato Rice OR tomato Bath is a bit spicy recipe. It is a combination of spicy and tangy flavor. As the name suggest ,Tomato is the Hero of this recipe but you can't ignore that ginger-garlic flavor as well.

You can have this tomato rice as a plain with papad or chips. You can also serve this recipe with cucumber raita ,corn raita or even plain yogurt.
I think my south indian friends also have tomato rice with rasam as well but i am not sure about it.
One more thing i want to mention here is i am preparing this recipe using fresh tomato gravy. You can use chunks as well.
