I have given name to this recipe is " Restaurant style jeera Rice " because i have found that Jeera rice I prepare at home and Rice I usually ate in restaurants have slightly different procedure.So, that why i decided to give this recipe as 'restaurant style'.
My mommy used to make this recipe as she cook rice first and then add tadka on the top at that and i love that a lot. I have recently share "Garlic Dal Recipe" on blog and Jeera rice is the best accompaniment to that.I made these two recipes along with Strawberry Mojito for hubby to make a dinner night special.There was no special day but sometimes it feels great to prepare something special and surprise your beloved.
Cominng back to the topic,
When your are preparing rice recipes, It is always appreciated to soak Rice for at-least 30 min.It will make your rice more fluffy and white.I always Use Basmati rice in My recipes and here i am using Dawat Basmati rice.
I always use Home-made Clarified Butter(Ghee) to prepare tadka.I am using Shahi Jeera here but you can use normal Cumins as well.Shahi Jeera has veri prominent flavor so you can not add too much..
The basic method Of this recipe is,
To prepare tadka first ,and then boil rice along with tadka.
Kindly follow the steps given below,

  Jeera Rice Recipe-how to make restaurant style Jeera rice

Prep Time :30 min/Soaking Time
Cook Time :15 min
Total Time : 45 min
Main Ingredient :Basmati Rice
Serves :2-3
Cuisine :North Indian

Ingredients:
  • Basmati Rice - 1/2 cup
  • Water - 4 cups approx
  • Salt - to taste
  • Cumins - 1/2 tsp
  • Curry leaves - 5 to 6 nos
  • Ghee / Clarified Butter- 1 tbsp
    Method/Assembling: 
    1. Soak basmati rice in 1 cup Water for 30 min and drain it.
    2. Heat Ghee in pan.
    3. Add cumins.When they crackle, add Curry leaves
    4. Add Soaked Basmati rice and mix them well.
    5. Saute these Rice for 2 min in Tadka.
    6. Add Water and Salt.Bring them to boil well.
    7. Drain it and serve hot.
