Moth Dal is an attempt to make lentils stew using ordinary moth.By this post i will share Step By Step photos.
I am such a big fan of my mom's Dry Matki Subji recipe(i will share soon). You already know that Moth beans are known as Matki.I actually quite confused about the name of the recipe.I made this recipe in liquid daal form so i called it Matki Daal.

If you have planned earlier and soaked the beans then it will be ready in only 20 minutes. While beans are pressure cooking, make rice and you will have healthy, homey dinner or lunch ready in only 30-35 minutes. Moth beans are similar to whole green moong in terms of shape and size. But the color of matki is brownish yellow while moong beans are dark green.
Moth bens are healthy but for healthier version you can use Moth Sprouts as well. for soaking details -Check out my Soaking and Sprouting Guide.
This is very Simple Recipe by means of spices requirements. The regular available spices in your kitchen are used to make this recipe.Like here,I made this recipe using Tomato,Onions and regular Masalas.
This Curry Goes best with Plain Rice, Roti, Paratha .Plain Rice ,Raita and Matki Daal are my favorite combination.
Kindly check my Quick Tutorial on Perfect Plain Rice and Perfect Plain Paratha.
