After taking a short break from blogging ,I am back with another super tasty recipe-Garlicky Spinach or lehsuni palak.
This is very simple recipe belongs to Awadhi Cuisine with an ordinary ingredients list :). You can make this Recipe within a 15-20 mins.As you show in Recipe name-Lasooni palak is the recipe For those who are die-heart GARLIC lover.And i think this is the perfect recipe for End of MONSOON And goes perfect in chilly Winters.I am bit early for this winter special recipe.
I have already share some Spinach recipe before in the blog like Palak Paneer and Spinach Paratha.There is one another recipe on blog, which is quite simple and comfort dish is- Dal Palak.
Lassoni palak is quite thick Spinach gravy goes best with Paratha,Roti and Rice.And Here The most dramatic part of this recipe is - Garlic. It adds an exotic flavor to the dish which makes Simple spinach super delicious.
However You can always adjust the amount of garlic as per your liking. but I will definitely prefer Extra Garlic for this particular recipe.
This recipe is Tried and Tasted by me.so don't worry about the taste. Just prepare it ,cook it and have IT ;) :p

Recipe Details below:

Lasooni Palak


Prep Time : 10 min
Cook Time : 15 min
Total Time : 20-25 min
Main Ingredient : Garlic,Spinach
Serves : 2
Cuisine : Awadhi

Ingredients:
  • Garlic - 10-15 cloves
  • Spinach - 1 bunch
  • Salt - to taste
  • Oil - 1 tbsp
  • Besan - 1/2 tsp
  • Onion , chopped - 1 small size
  • Coriander Powder - a pinch
  •  Water - To boil palak /Spinach
  • Oil - 1 tbsp for tempering
  • Garam Masala  - a pinch
  • Turmeric Powder - a pinch
Method:
  1. Wash Spinach very well. and roughly chop them.
  2. Heat water in Large Pan.Into that boil Spinach for 10 mins on high flame.
  3. Mean while finely chop Garlic and Onion.
  4. Drain Spinach leaves and Press them well so that it reduces all water content. make Puree.
  5. Divide Garlic into TWO portion.
  6. Heat 1 tbsp oil in pan.
  7. Add Garlic and saute it until brown.
  8. add onions and saute them well.Add Coriander powder,Turmeric Powder and Garam Masala.
  9. Add Spinach Puree and Besan.Mix them well.
  10. On the another pan Prepare Tadka.
  11. For Tadka,Heat oil in pan.
  12. Add chopped garlic and fry them.
  13. Pour this Tadka on the spinach gravy.
  14. Serve them Hot.
Note:
  • We are adding Besan because it works as thickening Agent.Don't add to much Gram Flour.1/2 to 1 tsp will be enough for this measurement.
  • You can add onions in Gravy form as well.but chopped onion will add bit chunkiness in Gravy.
