Shreekhand is the tipical gujrati-Indian dessert which is made from hung curd by adding sweetness in that.Hung curd is also known as Chakka in Marathi.


Some version f shreekhand -Like instant Shreekhand may use Thick Yoghurt and Cream. There are so many variations like Mango Shreekhand,Gulab Shreekhand,Rajbhog shreekhad and many more.
You can add Any flavour in ShreeKhand as per your likings. My personal Favourite flavor in Shreekhands are Mango Shree Khand and Kesar Elaichi Shree khand.

I am going to share today Kesar Elaichi flavor Shree Khand.
Janmashtami is here and this recipe we usually make to offering Lord Krishna.
This is all Time Favourite Recipe during Janmashtami.
I am sharing My way here which i Learnt From My mom. This is Tried and Tasted recipe ...:)

Recipe Details below:

Kesar Elaichi Shreekhand 


Prep Time : 15-20  mins
Cook Time : 0 mins
Total Time : 15-20 mins
Main Ingredient : Hung Curd/Chakka
Serves : 3-4
Cuisine : Gujarat

Ingredients:
  • Hung Curd - 4 cups
  • Sugar,Powdered - 1 cup OR as per your taste
  • Kesar / Saffron - 10-12 
  • Elaichi/ Green Cardamom,Powdered - 1 tbsp
  • Mix Dryfruits,Chopped - for garnishing(cashews,Almonds and Pistachios)

Method / Assembling:
  1. If you don't have powdered Sugar available, Churn Whole Sugar into Mixture grinder well.
  2. Take A large Bowl, Mix Hung-curd,Sugar,Kesar and Cardamom Powder.
  3. At last Add Dryfruits.
  4. Mix them well.
  5. Refrigerate it for 15 mins
  6. Serve Chilled.
Note:
  • Preparation time of Hung Curd is not Included In this Recipe.
  • You can also Add Orange /Yellow Food Color in this shrikhand as well.
  • We are using Powdered Sugar because It reduces Less Water in shrikhand as compare to whole sugar. It will Helps To improve total time of storage.
  • You can Store this shrikhand For 3 days.
