Hows you all??? Is It Raining there??? Here is an awesome atmosphere... I Enjoyed Dalwada with masala Tea(Tea Recipe will be uploaded soon ;) ).
My today's Recipe is Aloo matar dry subji .
This is a classic combination and very  simple dis h i usually made in my lunch Plus this is  Less Oil Recipe so i prefer the most. Baby potatoes are used to make this subji super tempting but as of now i don't have that so cooked with Regular potatoes. There is one another version of aloo matar which is thick Gravy. I will share that very soon on blog.

Recipe Details below:

Dry Aloo Matar

Prep Time : 15 mins
Cook Time : 10 mins
Total Time :  25 mins
Main Ingredient : Potatoes, peas
Serves : 3
Cuisine : North Indian , Punjabi

  • Potatoes - 3 Regular size
  • Peas - 1 to 1.5 cup 
  • Salt - to taste
  • Red Chili Powder - a pinch
  • Turmeric Powder - a pinch
  • Coriender Powder - a pinch
  • Amchur Powder - a pinch 
  • Green Chili ,Chopped - 1 nos
  • Oil - 2 tbsp
  • Cumin Seeds - 1 tsp

Method / Assembling:

  1. Pressure Cook Potatoes and Peas for 10 min.
  2. Heat Oil in pan. Add Cumin seeds.
  3. When Seeds Crackle, Add Green Chili .
  4. Add Potatoes and peas.
  5. Add Salt, Red Chili, Turmeric and Amchur Powder.
  6. Mix Them Well.
  7. Serve Hot with Chapati or Paratha.


  • You can use Frozen matar as well.
  • Amchur Powder is known as Dry Mango Powder. Available Here
