My today's Recipe is Patra OR Pattarveliya.
Paathra is mainly a gujrati snack recipe which is made from colocasia leaves.It is very healthy because cooked with absolutely NO Oil.Paatra is also found as street food in Maharashtra as well .
Colocasia Leaves are stuffed with spicy ,sweet and tangy chickpea flour Mixture.Paatra tastes best when deep fried but we are making HEALTHy version so we avoid deep frying and end the dish by shallow frying. It can be serve with Tea and Coriander Mint Chutney.
When you are making Pattras just keep in mind these two things.
- Roll them tightly, and
- Never forget the tempering
- Do not add too much water in besan mixture because we want quite thick paste for application. Use Water as per your requirement.
