Rimming a glass will add some additional flavors and extra decorative touch to any drink.Margaritas are most common drink that use salt but you can enhance flavor of your any drink with salt and sugar.but you have to be careful while choosing your drink on which you want to use technique.you can use salt,powdered sugar,coco powder etc. so that it necessary to make a smart choice of drink which compliments the taste of the rimming ingredients. In this post i will explain you hot to rim glass with step by step pictures.
For the purpose of this tutorial I used blacksalt and a small pinch of Red chilli powder(you can buy - Red Chilli Powder) so that you can see the results easier.


  1. Wet the outside rim of the glass with a fresh lemon or lime wedge.

  2. spread you black salt and red chilli powder mixture on to the plate or bowl.
  3. dip the rim of the glass into the plate or bowl.
  4. slowly move your glass in clockwise direction in the same postition.
  5. turn your glass slowly so that outer edge is covered.
  6. shake off excess salt if there.
  7. gently pour your drink .
