Today's recipe post is - Coconut Chutney...
Coconut chutney is usually serve with Idli,dosai,uttapam .

Main ingredient: Coconut ,grated and curd


  • Coconut,grated - 3 tbsp ,required if you are using coconut chura which is available in Indian grocery store.
  • Fresh coconut - 1 nos.
  • Salt - to taste
  • Ginger paste - 1 tbsp
  • Green chili paste - 1/2 tbsp
  • Sugar - to taste
  • Fresh coriender,chopped
  • Curd / yoghurt - 1 cup
Ingredients for tempering:
  • Oil - 1/2 tbsp
  • Mustard cumin seeds -1/2 tsp
  • Curry leaves - 5-6 leaves


  1. First ,grind fresh coconut or coconut chura with curd,salt,sugar, ginger paste,chili paste to a smooth paste.
  2. Pour this paste in a bowl.
  3. Heat oil.
  4. Add mustard cumin seeds.when seeds crakle add curry leaves.
  5. Now pour this Tempering /Tadka onto the coconut paste.
  6. Garnish with coriender leaves.
  7. Serve with idli sambar.
